Every empire that ever ran the world ran out of road at about 250 years.
Ten generations, then the same ending, every time. One British general counted three thousand years of it, and the number never moved.
America just hit the mileage.
This is the file on that number. What the founders knew about the clock. The older design they were reaching for when they built the one machine meant to break it. And the question the next thousand years actually turn on, which is not the one being shouted in either direction.
Sixteen chapters. Written for the two hundred and fiftieth. It ends somewhere no history book ends.
It's a gift, so take it free. If you want to put something behind it, there's a number that fits the year.

I can’t keep up. One of my favorite authors, whose real name I do not know (goes by EKO) writes faster than I can read. This is the second of two books released just today, and both excellent.
This brief book is titled “The Experiment - America at 250 and the Older Design It Was Reaching For. It is intended to be free on Independence Day, America’s 250th birthday. It is also intended to show us the way forward, the way out of the usual law that civilizations die at age 250.
The usual end is for parasites to overtake their host. The suggested cure is for each individual to go and build something, and teach someone younger to do the same. It also upholds the example of those few who reach the pinnacle of power, but then let it go, sharing it back to a thousand individuals rather than trying to cling to it. (Examples: Cincinnatus and Washington.) It reminds us that our individual rights come directly from God, not from any government.
Highly recommended.
