The initial dental examination is a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s oral health. During this procedure, the dentist performs a full evaluation of the teeth and gums to identify any existing or potential issues.
The examination includes a detailed inspection of the teeth and periodontal tissues, allowing for early detection of caries, gum disease, and other oral conditions. Advanced diagnostic tools are used, including 3D intraoral scanning to create a precise digital model of the patient’s dentition.
Clinical photographs are taken to visually document the condition of the teeth and to clearly demonstrate any problem areas to the patient. In addition, a panoramic radiograph (orthopantomogram) is performed to assess the overall structure of the jaws, teeth positioning, and underlying bone.
Based on the collected data, a preliminary cost estimate is prepared. The dentist then develops a personalized treatment plan, outlining recommended procedures, priorities, and timelines for achieving optimal oral health.
